Why you should go to a naturopathy center

Here are seven reasons why you must visit a naturopathy center

1. Chronic / Severe Illnesses: There are so many diseases whose names we hadn’t heard till about 3months ago. Now we talk about like folk from the medical line. People in India above the age 50 seem to have gotten used to eating lots of medicines. It has become a part of the daily life, by the time you turn 50 – 55 years of age, you will be eating 2-3 tablets on a daily basis for diseases like Diabetes, blood pressure, cervical, varicose etc. Naturopathy is your hope to stop these medicines completely and if not stop then drastically reduce them.

2. Thyroid: It has become an accepted trend for women in their late 20’s and early 30’s to be diagnosed with thyroid. The doctors scare their female patients saying that any more troubled with the thyroid gland and you will have trouble conceiving and that thyroid cannot be cured, but can be controlled if you start eating a medicine. They don’t call it a medicine but a supplement claiming that the cause of thyroid is deficiency and excess weight. We saw people curing their thyroid imbalances by simple yoga exercises and some control in the diet. Ishwinder is one such person. The doctor got her tested and she was diagnosed with hypothyroid in January this year. 3 months of sensible eating, staying in naturopathy centers, along with regular yoga and her latest test report from 2 days ago, she has no thyroid problems anymore.

3.   Weight Loss:  Excess body weight is the root cause of 90% diseases faced by us today. A 2 week stint at a naturopathy center will easily help you lose about 6 – 7 kilos. Such a drastic change in weight is all the motivation you need to get back to having a healthy body. More often than not we get discouraged at how much effort is needed to lose weight, and always complain about the lack of time which results in lack or no exercise. In naturopathy, the focus is on your eating and not exercise and not matter how busy you are in life, you definitely have time to eat 3 meals a day.

4.       Pre Marriage Weight Loss:  Naturopathy centers are visited by a lot of girls 2-3 months before their marriage, because all of us want to look perfect in the wedding pictures. Not only do you lose weight, your skin starts glowing, body gets in shape and you learn something which can make your married healthy and happy. And a lot of guys also need to adapt this habit. You really fat in those wedding pictures. A little weight loss won’t do any harm.

 5.       Life Style Change:  We spoke to a dietician about what is the right age to start eating healthy and taking care of your health. She said 25 is too late. After staying at the naturopathy centers, people experience great change in their energy levels and find their stress levels reduced. Women seem to feel this more than men, since most of their time is spent in the kitchen. Healthy food is not good for the body but also takes less time for preparation. The youth in our country is adapting to western lifestyles and eating habits. Naturopathy will make you think about your eating choices on a day to day basis.

 6.       Myth busting: We Indians love to fast on a weekly basis, but our fasts are nothing but a day to eat special foods. When someone simply stays on water for a week or even 3 days, we think of it as something crazy and very harmful for the body. More than anything, we come with a preconceived notion that fasting is not for us. Such kind of fasting is only for sadhus who wish to attain something spiritual. Naturopathy will show you how fasting is the healthiest form of disease prevention and cure. If you are ill, then your body needs time and energy for curing itself and fasting is that opportunity.

7. Kill your curiosity :  You may have heard from a lot of people about different nature cure / naturopathy / detox / cleansing centers, take this as an opportunity to find it out for yourself. Take a week off from work and head to the nearest or the most famous one. You won’t loose anything,  will gain some health in return and your holiday will be quite relaxed.
